Household Sewage Sludge in Tugu Taman Arsa Cleaned

North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency personnel were deployed to clean household wastewater sludge in Tugu Taman Arsa, Jalan Bougenville, RT 01/02, Untung Jawa Urban Village, South Thousand Islands Sub-disrict.

North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Gulkarmat Sector 8 Head, Eko Mahendro mentioned, Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL) channel was disrupted that caused sewage sludge to overflow.

"We deploy 5 personnel and 1 floating pump to spray the overflowing sewage sludge," he informed, Tuesday (2/9).

IPAL Channels in Pramuka Island Cleaned

According to him, sewage sludge in Tugu Taman Arsa was carried out after Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency repairing IPAL channel.

"We do a quick cleaning, because this area is one of favorite tourist destinations in Untung Jawa Island," he said.
